Eat Out to Help Out - We do it all for you

The government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme in the month of August is a boon for hospitality venues across the UK. But the calculations for it, including the tax implications, are massively complicated. Firstly, after putting all the items into your order, just tell the system how many covers you have:

Next, subtotal the order and the system will automatically work out the discount:

 

Here's the clever part. There's a maximum of £10 per cover, only on food and non-alcoholic drinks, and you must charge VAT on the whole amount including the discount. Confusing huh? (There's actually more but we don't need to get into that now...)
